We share products from Puerto Rican brands we love that are safe for sensitive skin.
Finding brands that are safe for sensitive skin is a challenge, no matter what part of the world we live in. At Sensata Care, we are always looking for new solutions and brands for sensitive skin. As the founder, it was the main reason I started Sensata Care, as I have been doing trial and error for decades as I moved through my own sensitive skin journey. I want to bring more options and educate others about how to manage it.
When I moved to Puerto Rico, I immediately started to seek out local brands that were safe for my sensitive skin. What I quickly learned is that there were not that many (yet), and it concerned me how little access we have to clean products from Puerto Rico. So I tried brands I trusted from other countries and the majority of them do not ship to Puerto Rico.
This blog will be the first of a series about products I trust because I didn't want all my experience and knowledge to go to waste. Every month, we will blog about products we find from Puerto Rican brands.

DEODORANTS
Natural deodorants are very popular now and have come a long way from the crystals we could only find in a small corner store that sells incense. We now have a variety of natural, aluminum-free, and chemical-free options on the market, including Puerto Rico.
Brands from PR
Jens Soaps
What we love: It has no aluminum and is also free of baking soda. The rice bran oil helps neutralize PH and no synthetic fragrances make this a great option.
Ingredients: Oryza Sativa Bran Oil, Lavandula angustifolia oil, Melaleuca alternifolia oil, Cymbopogon citratus oil, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice.
Löfte
What we love: It has no aluminum and is also free of baking soda. A clean deodorant without added fragrance will be gentle on your skin.
Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), OleaEuropaea (Olive Oil), Zinc Oxide, Euphorbia Ceridera (Candelilla) Wax, Kaolin, Tocopheryl Acetate.
Mikokos
What we love: It has no aluminum or baking soda and uses magnesium hydroxide to have a similar effect, with less irritation. The tapioca powder helps with soaking up moisture but test for sensitivity.
Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric triglyceride, magnesium hydroxide, shea butter, coconut oil, tapioca powder, candelilla wax, vitamin E, fragrance.
Olie
What we love: It has no aluminum or baking soda and uses cocoa butter to clarify the underarm. The fragrance oil is of aloe vera, a lovely scent that is also gentle on the skin. BONUS: There is a travel size!
Ingredients: Coconut oil, Castor Oil, Cocoa butter, Beeswax, Aloe vera fragrance oil.

What we love: Our founders personal favorite because it kills any bad odor while being gentle on your under arms. Plus is has a majority of organic ingredients.
