We seek out local brands that are safe for sensitive skin and focused on sensitive skin, clean ingredients, or sustainability.
We want to help our sensitive skin community here in Puerto Rico with finding local brands to support, just like Sensata Care.
Sunscreens
We are fortunate in Puerto Rico to have many options for clean sunscreens that are reef-safe, while being clean enough for sensitive skin.
The requirements we used for sunscreens were focused on ingredient transparency, no added fragrances or dyes.
Each brand took the effort and time to a sunscreen and that is no easy job!

- Product: Mineral Sunscreen
- What we love: No chemicals and no added fragrance make this blend wonderful. We loved that it is in a aluminum travel tin with no plastic and reef safe.
- Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil Infused with Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flowers, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cera Alba (Beeswax), Rubus Idaeus (Red Raspberry) Seed Oil.

- Product: Coconut Zinc Chapstick
- What we love: Organic ingredients and locally sourced make this one of our favorites, while being reef safe with non-nano zinc oxide. This product is currently in use by our founder and will be purchased again. Bonus on the sustainable packing and focus on clean ingredients.
- Ingredients: Organic coconut oil, unrefined locally sourced cacao butter and non‑nano, non-coated zinc oxide.

- Product: Mineral Sunblock SPF 40
- What we love: Their focus on plant-based ingredients that are gentle enough for sensitive skin while still providing protection.
- Ingredients: Aloe Vera Pure Juice, Carrot Seed Oil, Raspberry Oil, Sesame Oil, Emulsifying Wax, Zinc Oxide, Lavender Essential Oil & Optiphen.

- Product: Sunscreen SPF 30
- What we love: The plant-based oils and shea butter make this great for sensitive skin.
- Ingredients: Zinc, Coconut oil, Carrot oil, Lavender oil, Shea butter, Beeswax

- Product: Natural Sunscreen SPF 30
- What we love: Plant oils that are gentle on sensitive skin and organic cacao make this a must try. Packaging says reef-safe but the ingredient list and website do not specify non-nano.
- Ingredients: Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Vitamin E, Zinc Oxide, Organic Cacao and Bulgarian Essential Oil.

- What we love: A mineral sunscreen that truly leaves no whitecast, with simple clean ingredients that It has added fragrances or soy.
